A-Gas Bristol are the leading independent global experts in the supply and full life-cycle management of speciality chemicals and gases. Its UK facility is located in Portbury, just outside of Bristol, where it has a large warehouse space and office building on site.

A- Gas' 3rd floor office previously housed nine workers - three workers in their own individual offices and six workers in grouped offices. Due to the partition walls, many of the offices lacked natural light and prevented collaboration between workers. A-Gas intended to expand, however this required an office floor that provided enough space for sixteen workers as well as a tea room, a relaxed meeting space and an area for printing and paper storage.

Taking advantage of the large windows to the east of the building and the removal of the existing partition walls, it allowed for maximum natural light to fill the large open work space and tea room at the centre.

​

An industrial, functional aesthetic forms the backdrop to the interior of the office space, playing on the 'science lab' aspect of the company and merging the two together. Monochrome colours such as black and white, were used to highlight the yellow elements in the scheme allowing them to stand out.
