Brief:

The brief asks you to propose a re-use for the building in Edgar Mews. This project is essentially a feasibility exercise which will allow you to develop your skills to make a judgement on what are viable proposals as well as an innovative design solution for your self choice brief.

Inspiration:

Bath's Georgian architecture, in terms of both proportions and interior refinement, such as the bespoke furniture and joinery featured throughout. Muted colours and natural materials.

Key Moves:

I used the original lift shaft to frame the new staircase and located the lift elsewhere. 

Lifted the roof and levelled it to allow for more headroom in the studio spaces. 

Used the additional roof space to offer a generous amount of green space and light.
