Fragmented Stage
BA (Hons) Interior Design

Throughout my time at University Of South Wales Cardiff I am encouraged to take risks, gain real-world experience and develop my individuality as a creative Interior Designer. I develop interior designs through creative research methods such as, sketching, analytical drawing and making. We use analogue and digital techniques to prototype our ideas; gaining a good understanding of computer programs such as AutoCAD, 3DSmax, Revit, Illustrator, Photoshop, and Sketch Up.

Software - Revit, 3Ds Max, SketchUp, Autocad

From year one I was part of live projects, working with real clients and had many opportunities to present my ideas to them. I gained a good understanding of scale and proportion so I can effectively design an interior space. Equally, forming an excellent understanding of specifying interior finishes; materials, light, colour and pattern.

In year two I continue to work on live projects with industry partners. Learning about conservation principles and the significance of historic buildings. Developing an eye for detailed design and becoming confident in specifying and presenting my interior designs professionally.
